PASCOAG HOSE COMPANY NUMBER TWO

Pascoag Hose Company #2 was formed on January 18, 1905, at the office of the Hopkins Machine Works, Inc. in downtown Pascoag.  The Bridgeton area of Pascoag was becoming more populated, and that area of the village needed adequate fire protection.  The Company held its meetings and stored its apparatus in various barns until 1914, when its first fire station was built on the site of the current parking lot at the Howard Avenue Fire Station.  The Company moved to its current location in December 1977.

Pascoag Hose Company #2 currently has a roll of 21 members who act in a social capacity in addition to providing fire and rescue services for the Pascoag Fire District.  Though all Pascoag firefighters must be members of a Hose Company, and Hose Company members must be Pascoag firefighters, the organizations are separate entities.  Hose Company #2 members gather at the fire station once every month to discuss ongoing issues such as financial stability and upcoming events.  Persons who join the Hose Company are probationary members for one year, after which time they are voted into full membership and are given full voting power.

Hose Company #2 is led by a set of four officers, who are given certain roles and responsibilities within the Company as described below.
