 In addition, Special Services 46 is state licensed as a non-transporting BLS rescue vehicle. It carries all equipment necessary to provide basic emergency medical services. 
 

Special Services 46 responds to all requests for fire apparatus within the Pascoag Fire District. 
It also responds to EMS calls within the district when Rescue 4 and Medic 4 are unavailable. 
It responds out of the district by request when needed for air supply, lighting, extrication, or other purposes.

Special Services 46 is housed in the Howard Avenue fire station.
